OBIT: Frances Jean Palilla (Rural Valley)

Frances Jean Palilla, 92, of Rural Valley, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at ACMH Hospital.

She was born on June 14, 1922 to Frank and Catherine (Luca) Dimaio in NuMine.

Frances worked for her father at the original DiMaio’s Market.

She was a member of St. Mary, Mother of God R.C. Church in Yatesboro where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Frances is survived by her two sons: Frank (Delores) Palilla of Rural Valley and Richard (Mary Kay) Palilla of Kittanning; daughter, Janet Kay (Dennis) Hellgren of Rural Valley; and eight Grandchildren and 13 great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband - Lucio Palilla, who died April 29, 1997; her parents; and five brothers - Samuel, Joseph, Anthony and John DiMaio and Carmen Bartuccio.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8PM today – Tuesday, November 4, 2014 – at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley.

A funeral Mass will be held at noon tomorrow - Wednesday, November 5, 2014 - at the St. Mary, Mother of God R.C. Church, Yatesboro with Rev. Douglas Dorula, officiating.

Burial will take place in the St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro.
