OBIT: Richard D. Barrett (Dayton,PA)
Richard Dodson Barrett, 85, of Dayton, PA, died Friday, August 19, 2011 in Clarion Hospital.
He was born December 13, 1925 in Wayne Township, a son of the late Russell and Lucille (Wadding) Barrett.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Yatesboro.
He worked as a Farmer and Coal Truck Driver.
Surviving are his wife, Agatha (Hancherick) Barrett, whom he married Sept. 4, 1954; two sons - Richard Alan Barrett of Dayton and James Robert Barrett of Houston, TX; one daughter - Linda Lucille Day of Reynoldsville; two brothers - William E. Barrett of Smicksburg and Russell R. Barrett of Dayton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son - Kenneth Ross Barrett; one brother- Edwarrd Barrett and one sister - Maxine Bucko.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley.
Services will be held at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Daniel L. Blount officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery in Yatesboro.
