Cancer Center Receives Donation from Bikers

This fall, the ACMH Cancer Center was presented with a donation of $15,000 from Riding for the Cure, a small group of motorcycle enthusiasts and activists doing their part in the fight against breast cancer.

The funds were raised during the group’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Ride, always held on the last Saturday in July.

“Not one of us receives a paycheck,” said Lynda Kerr, President of Riding for the Cure. “We do this out of the kindness of our hearts every year.”

All proceeds from the ride are donated to local facilities to benefit cancer patients. To date, the group has raised over $80,000.
