The DeLuca Dome: West Shamokin Football Hopes to Bounce Back Against Saltsburg

The West Shamokin Wolves will look to earn a win in front of their homecoming crowd after their three game win streak was snapped last week by Ligonier Valley.

Tonight the Wolves will host the Saltsburg Trojans (2-4) for their homecoming game.

The Wolves win streak may be over, but the visiting team comes into this match-up firing on all cylinders after winning their last two games at home against Purchase Line (1-5) and away at Marion Center (0-6). In those two games the Trojan offense has averaged 29 points offensively and have allowed 18 points per game defensively.

Although Saltsburg has won two in a row, those games were against the two bottom teams in the Heritage Conference.

The Wolves will look to remain undefeated at home as they currently have a 2-0 record at Jack E. Boyer field.

Coming into this game Aaron Gray is tied for the lead in sacks in the Heritage Conference with 4.0 sacks.

Wolves QB Devin Fairman, who had the only touchdown of the game last week (a TD pass to Aaron Gray) will hope to add to his impressive numbers this year. Fairman is ranked in the top 5 in the Heritage Conference in scoring (48 points), passing yards (289), and rushing yards (415).

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM at Jack E. Boyer Field at West Shamokin and as always you can listen live on WTYMradio.com, the WTYM App, or you can listen to the rebroadcast at 1:00 PM on Saturday.
