Armstrong Improves to 2-0 After Defeating Moon

After a tough week one match-up against Karns City, the Armstrong River Hawks now find themselves at 2-0 to start the season after another impressive display against the Moon Area Tigers last Friday night.

It was another big day for Senior running-back/defensive-back Zane Dudek as he got it done on both sides of the ball.

At the end of the game Zane finished with 270 yards rushing, four rushing touchdowns, and to top it off Dudek took an interception to the house. In two games Dudek already has over 500 yards and is accountable for all 9 of the team’s touchdown so far.

After the game, Armstrong Head Coach Frank Fabian said next week he hopes to start out stronger and make fewer mistakes, those will both be key as the River Hawks will face their toughest test of the young season when they travel to McKeesport to take on the Tigers.

As always you can catch the game live on 1380 AM WTYM, wtymradio.com, or the WTYM App.
