A Kittanning (South Buffalo Township) woman could spend up to three years in the Armstrong County Jail after pleading guilty to setting her home on fire in May 2015.

Jody Lynn Meade, 53, was sentenced by President Judge Kenneth Valasek last week in the Armstrong County Courthouse to serve imprisonment in the Rayburn Township facility, pay associated costs and fines and refrain from the use or possession of drugs for the fire that occurred the first weekend of May 2015.

No one was injured in the blaze, but a Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal determined Meade’s home was purposely set on fire.

Because of Meade’s guilty plea to one of the three felony charges levied against her, the remained charges were not prosecuted.
