The following interview came from “The Guardian” and explains why Wendy Bell was fired and why Trump is so appealing to crossover voters.
In my opinion, Wendy Bell was fired to be politically correct with maybe a touch of budget cutting at the same time.
Why Trump? Here is what a young Hispanic attorney (age 29, from Florida) has to say. “On paper, I probably look like a guaranteed Cruz or Rubio vote. I’m a millennial woman, my parents immigrated from Castro’s Cuba., I work as a trial attorney in Miami and I’m a born-again Christian. But I’m voting for Donald Trump and I’ve convinced all my friends and family to do so as well.”
Before he ran, the lefts’ stranglehold on the national conversation of what is or isn’t tolerable was getting stronger by the minute. It was the year of Caitlyn Jenner( Sex Change), Rachel Dolezal, (Activist) Black Lives Matter. Anyone who even hinted at disapproval was exiled. Every week, someone would dare to blurt out something un-PC, and the media would absolutely crucify them. It had me thinking this wasn’t it. We’ve lost. How on earth can we hope to defeat these people, with their complete domination of the national conversation and relentless narrative of “Progress! Tolerance! Acceptance!”?
Political correctness is the birthplace of disasters, un-American policies that will destroy the country in a death by a thousand cuts.
But here comes Trump, the first person who didn’t even blink when the machine turns its’ sights on him. He didn’t just fight back. He chewed it up and spit it out. .
There you have it, Wendy! Take a play out of Mr. Trump’s book and go after WTAE.
Remember, the best defense is a good offense.

In the case of Wendy Bell she went on to say this:
It makes me sick. What matters is what’s going on in America, and it is the death of black people in this country,” she said.
“More needs to be done. The problem needs to be addressed.”
Nearly 40 per cent of all civilians killed while unarmed are black men, despite them only representing six per cent of the US population.
Wendy Bell’s Point would quite a different Direction than an endorsement fro the KKK for Donald Trump, Jack!

Wendy Bell - Time will tell if she was correct because the two perps will be caught because they’ll brag about it and someone will rat them out for the reward money. Then we’ll know if they’re young black kids, late teenagers or early 20’s and from within 4 blocks away, and already have a record. Meanwhile, we’ll wonder how Wendy Bell got the advance story. I suspect that having to report this kind of garbage, daily, is tough on the mind of a newscaster. Channel 2 is now our news station of choice in our house.
Trumpians. Why is he so popular? Ask any liberal and they’ll say that people that like Trump are knuckle-draggers, no education - not ‘enlightened’ like liberals are. Here’s the reality - Trumpians are dissatisfied with both the democrat and republican establishments. Trump gets democrat, independent and republican support - people that have had enough of the degrading of this great country.
We’re sick of politicians. Hear that Jeff? We’re sick of the democratic party and the republican party. We just want this thing fixed.
Trump may not be a saint, but he is self-funded and can’t be bought by special interests. He hasn’t asked me for a single dollar. We know that he has been very successful, he’s an excellent negotiator (ASD board could benefit the taxpayers with his skills training), he has built a lot of things, and he’s not a politician. When he says he’ll fix it, we Trumpians believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong, or looked at and called a liar.
We don’t care that Trump is crude, that he insults people, that he has been friendly with Hillary and liberals, that he has changed positions, that he’s been married 3 times, that he fights with Megyn Kelly and Rosie O’Donnell, and that he doesn’t know the name of some Muslim terrorist. We don’t care that his hair is orange - he might just be a trend setter ahead of his time. We just want this thing fixed.
Trump is self-funded and can’t be bought by special interests. If you don’t understand how important that is, perhaps you should stay home on election day. He is the only one of 5 candidates not living off taxpayer dollars. He is the only candidate declaring that he wants to put America first.
And some people wonder why he’s doing so well with the American people?
The KP poll just went away one day. No more word on it. Last data that I saw was 608 votes with Trump taking 3.5 times the number of Hillary - and that Hillary was nearly tied with ‘if it is only these two, I’m not voting’. Good job, Hildebeast followers.
Tell you what - I’d much rather see Melania Trump, a degreed architect and designer who speaks 5 languages, as first lady, than Bill Clinton as first ladies’ man.

Jack: As per usual you need to start with facts about the Wendy Bell issue and then you and Bjorn need to go back to Logic 101 to respond to your critics. Too many issues associated with the Bell situation to make it like it was her facebook statements which done her in. Hell they were the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back-that’s it. She did herself in well before the facebook comments. As far as you and Bjorn are in your strident defense of Trump, it’s apparent you both blame all that’s wrong, on the so-called liberals, and all that’s right on the Trumps and Bennetts and Jensens of American politics and society. It’s very telling about you both that Trump hasn’t struck a nerve with either when he vilifies women, ethnic groups, and religious leaders and you find no fault with same. You characterize his rants as OK and blame the “liberal critics’ for being too focused on being politically correct. My grandfather and father personified more real patriotism in one day than either of you two do in your life by your pseudo flag waving and gun lobbying efforts, and neither would have ever, ever, supported anyone who denigrated their wives and daughters and the head of their church the way your Trump has. America with all its issues and faults IS still GREAT contrary to what you both say. If you’re so damn unhappy with it the way it is, stop being demagogues and get involved in the real change process-and that’s not by promoting your bias with half truths and scare tactics. It’s by coming to meetings, running for office, helping those less fortunate. Put your money where your mouth is. Front page of the Daily dispatch, today, government corruption - paying some guy $150k in a ghost job and a bunch of other political stuff on the front page and there’s a small story on the front, right side, about US Steel laying off 25% of its national salaried workforce. What is important news? If we can’t make steel, will North Korea make it for us? Geez!

Well, of course Jensen would know how everything went down, he’s Clairvoyant! Wendy got Canned for making what her Bosses considered a Stereotypical comment on Facebook, what she said was out of favor in terms of her employment contract, was it right? In the eyes of her Boss, yes and that’s what counts! Ask Mike Ditka! The terms of an employment contract don’t have to be politically Correct, can she Sue? Maybe Not…. Oh, what she said about the Multiple-Children among young black women just is not so, statistically speaking. That would be against what most Right-wingers believe, (Jensen and Jack) but, what the hell would they know!

Being self funded is the BIGGEST issue of the entire presidential campaign. It is HUGE that Trump will owe nobody, anything, and will be free to pick and choose whom he WANTS, not who is owed.
Some have argued we had a bit of this a cycle, or two, ago right up at the courthouse with some fabricated positions with possible donor relations etc. I don’t know all the facts, just remember reading something along those lines……………… That is Armstrong County for a job that pays what, 70K a year? What would the multiplier be for the office of POTUS, in a similar situation!!!???
In other news, Hillary won’t release her speeches she gave to Wall Street top dogs and still causes reflex vomiting every time I hear that phony voice………I know this much, Trump will eat her alive in debates. I doubt she will do many if it comes down to those two. She has had it VERY EASY with Sanders allegedly taking the high road. I say, if you run for public office, expect to defend everything and anything. That is why it is called public office. If you want things to remain private, stick to the private sector.

I’m not going to comment on whether what Wendy Bell said was right or wrong. I’m not a judge or jury. What I will say is this - She put her thoughts out there on social media for all to see/read. I work for a larger company here in Western PA and like most larger-large companies here is Western PA (such as WTAE) there is a section in the HR Employee handbook regarding posting on social media. In so many words if I were to post on social media something so inflammatory that the company I work for suffers from it I could be held accountable. Now not only did Wendy Bell post a controversial statement on social media, she used WTAE’s social media page to do it. In my opinion she opened herself up to the possibility of losing her job. I don’t have a problem with the woman, but lets get her down off the cross already. With the price of fuel going up, we’re going to need the wood.

Your example of local purchase of a politician is correct, and he paid for it in the recent election. He had a chance to do so many good things for this county, as do the 3 new guys. In just a few months, they’ve already blown it - budget increase with no effort to really cut costs, spending on Pictometry, and so forth.
I look forward to Trump/Hillary debates. Those will be worth money to watch.

“If crime in the black community somehow could justify downplaying the problem of racism and discrimination, and shifting attention to the “internal” problems of African Americans, then this same argument would have been just as strong — or stronger — in the era of apartheid and segregation, because the violent victimization rates among blacks were higher then than now. Conservatives could have made these arguments then (and of course, some did), as a way to deflect attention from the larger societal injustice to which black America was being subjected. Some things apparently don’t change!

4.7 percent of African American males are in prison compared to 0.7 percent of whites. They make up a total of 37 percent of all prison inmates. But they are only 12 percent of the American public. Sorry if your blind to a problem this country needs to deal with ASAP. The African American community is at a high of 78 percent single mothers. WOW if you don’t see that as a problem you are either not only blind or but ignorant. Just watch the news one time and your see who is murdering who. And it you try to blame this on other races, well that statement “white Americans” injustice is to blame is part of the problem. You are fueling their fire to not face the facts and TRUTH. Americans need to stand up and take back what is theirs. We shouldn’t be afraid to enter African American communities and constantly have the PC police telling us it’s our fault. I personally had nothing to do with making their community the way it is. And don’t it get me started on affirmative actions. The best for the job should get it. Also. I had to pay for my own college. No silver spoon here. Just hard work.

So, African Americans are filling out the prisons, that’s news to me!
(From 1980 to 2008, the number of people incarcerated in America quadrupled-from roughly 500,000 to 2.3 million people.) Out of the 2.3 million people in prison, less than 50% are African American. So, anyone saying anything different just doesn’t know what they are talking about!
Talking Disparities:
About 14 million Whites and 2.6 million African Americans report using an illicit drug.
5 times as many Whites are using drugs as African Americans, yet African Americans are sent to prison for drug offenses at 10 times the rate of Whites!
“African Americans serve virtually as much time in prison for a drug offense (58.7 months) as whites do for a violent offense (61.7 months).” (Sentencing Project)- source….

1. Trump is not self funded. He not only has donors, but he’s financing his campaign by loaning himself money. These loans can be paid by any means.

Rat- The corporation I work for goes as far as making us sign paperwork stating that if we even TALK to the media they reserve the right to terminate our employment. It doesn’t even matter what is said to them.
I don’t see why some people are having trouble understanding why she was fired.

(This means that conservatives are simply wrong when they suggest that black folks are increasingly given to lawbreaking.)

This year, Nebraska ranked the highest with a black homicide victimization rate of 34.43 per 100,000, followed by Missouri, Michigan, (Pennsylvania,) and Oklahoma.
