Sagamore Teen Hospitalized Following Car Crash

A Sagamore teen was taken to a regional medical center after a vehicle accident Thursday evening.

Danielle L. Smith, 17 of Sagamore, was traveling southbound on State Route 2010 in Cowanshannock Township when she observed a dog in the roadway.

To avoid hitting the animal, Smith swerved her 2002 Volkswagen Jetta up an embankment that caused the vehicle to roll onto its roof.

According to Pennsylvania State Police troopers, Smith was not taken by EMS first-responders but went to Indiana Medical Center for a suspected minor injury.
