Adrian Man Possibly Injured in Route 422 Crash

An elderly Adrian man could have been injured during a two-vehicle accident along Route 422 Monday evening.

Ivan Hooks, 83 was traveling west on Butler Road in his 2013 GMC Sierra, and attempted to make a left turn onto Wible Road in East Franklin Township, but was unable to see a 1999 Dodge Durango driving toward him.

The driver of that vehicle – Rachel Uncapher, 18 of Worthington – was determined not to have her head lamps turned on as required due to darkness.

Hooks had to be transported by EMS crews on scene.

Charges are to be files against Uncapher.
