A North Buffalo Township man accused of shooting at a man inside a vehicle days before Christmas has been released from the Armstrong County Jail.
Anthony Parrotta, 23, was incarcerated for about two weeks before posting $20,000 bail.
Parrotta is accused of several felony and misdemeanor charges – including felony criminal attempt at homicide, felony aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and discharging that weapon into an occupied structure.
Parrotta has since waived his right to a preliminary hearing before District Magisterial Judge Gary DeComo, but no further court dates have yet been scheduled.
According to the criminal complaint filed by State Police troopers, Parrotta had a domestic dispute with Courtney Crissman at their residence in North Buffalo Township in the early morning of December 22, 2015.
After Crissman left with a laceration below the right eye and a bloody lip, she called her brother, Blake – who ended up calling Parrotta after learning what had happened.
Parrotta allegedly took a Sturm Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Mag revolver loaded with six rounds to the Union Baptist Church parking lot to meet Blake, and shot two rounds into his green Jeep Wrangler.
Nobody was injured when shots were fired, but Parrotta confessed to the crimes.
A third bullet was found lodged in a wooden storage bin next to the church building in the parking lot near the church.
