PennDOT Driver License Center Closed this Weekend
Local residents should plan to prepare for the upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday.
Monday, January 18, Federal buildings, Armstrong County government offices and Armstrong School District schools will all be closed in observance of the former civil rights activist.
Last week, PennDOT officials also announced that driver license and photo centers – such as in West Kittanning – will be closed this Saturday, January 16 through the holiday.
Though hours of operation differ depending on services, the full-service locations such as in New Kensington, Indiana and Butler, will also be closed for the holiday weekend.
Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website, www.dmv.pa.gov.
Driver and vehicle online services are available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services.
