OBIT: John M. Visnesky (Kittanning)

John M. Visnesky, 86 of Kittanning, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in ACMH Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1929 in Kittanning to Anthony and Emma Kissick (Sarnoski) Visnesky.

John was self-employed in the electronic repair business.

A. U.S. Army-Corps veteran, John was also a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning and enjoyed gardening and hunting with his sons.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lucille “Lucy” (Neal) Visnesky, three sons: John Visnesky (and wife Holly) of Mt. Lebanon, Timothy Visnesky (and wife Carrie) of Kittanning and Kenneth Visnesky (and wife Cheryl) of Freeport; daughter, Tina Wilson (and husband Scott) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; adopted son, John Fitzgerald of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren: Jeremy, Jessica, Ashley, Michael, Shaun, Morgan, Christopher, Nichole, Natalie, Benjamin, Park and Michelle; three step-grandchildren: Chuckie, Brandon and Joel; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rose Puz of Kittanning.

John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Louis Anthony Visnesky and George Visnesky; two sisters: Sally Hopper and Wanda Zimmerman; and niece, Joyce Visnesky.

Friends will be received from 7-9PM tonight - Wednesday, October 28, 2015 - at the Kennedy and Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be available from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Thursday, October 29, 2015 - at the funeral home.

Parting prayers will be said at 12:30PM Friday, October 30, 2015 followed by a funeral mass at 1PM at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning.

The Rev. Douglas E. Dorula will act as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
