OBIT: Vivian Emmonds (Ford City)
Vivian Emmonds, 80 of Ford City, died Monday, September 21, 2015 in the Armstrong County Health Center.
She was born March 8, 1935 in Crieghton to Edwin and Evelyn (Elwood) Asay.
Vivian formerly worked for 30 years within the Clerical Division at PPG in Ford City.
She graduated from Ford City High School in 1953.
Vivian attended Appleby Manor Memorial Presbyterian Church in Ford City, and was also a member of various card clubs.
She also enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling and going to the casino.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Thomas Emmonds; five grandchildren: Tara (and Brian) Debbis, Chad (and Mary) Emmonds, Lauren (and Jon) Bees, Alexa Emmonds and Olivia Emmonds; eight great-grandchildren: Cole, Ben, Nick, Charles, Oliver, Huxley, Raegan and Chloe; brother, Larry (and Veronica) Asay; and sister, Fay Asay.
She was preceded in death by her two sons: Thomas Emmonds, Jr. and Daniel Emmonds; three brothers: Richard, Charles and Jim; and sister, Mary Dee Walker.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow – Wednesday, September 23, 2015 – at the Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.
Additional visitation will be offered from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Appleby Manor Church, 810 Main St.
Past-Reverend Laurie Milligan and Lloyd Riggle will co-offficiate.
Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
