OBIT: Rosella Irene Strouse (McGrann)
Rosella Irene (Anderson) Strouse, 78 of McGrann, died Monday, September 14, 2015 in her home due to natural causes.
She was born August 29, 1937 in McGrann to Thomas J. and Nettie L. (Peters) Smith.
A lifelong community resident, Rosella was a nurses aide, seamstress, housekeeper and mother.
She attended First Baptist Church in Ford City.
Rosella is survived by her seven sons: Russell R. Anderson, Jr., Timothy J. Anderson, Sr. (and Pamela), William T. Anderson (and Helen), Terry L. Anderson, David J. Anderson (and Allene), Robert M. Anderson (and Samantha) and Kevin J. Anderson (and Tammy); stepson, Fred Strouse; two daughters: Mary K. Serene (and Brad) and Crystal L. Grosklos; stepdaughter, Allene E. Anderson; brother, John J. Smith, of North Carolina; sister, Minnie B. Smeltzer of Ohio; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell R. Anderson, Sr.; second husband, Allen D. Strouse; six brothers: Clarence J. Smith, Richard Smith of Greenville, James Smith of Kentucky, William Smith, and two infant brothers; and sister, Mary J. Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Ford City Cemetery Chapel.
The Rev. Kenneth Thompson will officiate.
Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery.
