Jacob Street Update: ADA Ramps Being Constructed
Bugsy’s Pizza Owner Jeff Bowser stands at the entrance to his shop as he watches crews demolish the corner sidewalk to make way for a new sidewalk ramp that will comply with the Americans with Disabilties Act. Ramps at each of the corners on three adjoining streets of Jacob Street in downtown Kittanning must be completed before Jacob Street can be milled down and resurfaced. The contractor has until September 22 to complete the project or be subject to fines of over $800 per day for failure to comply with the terms of the contract.
