OBIT: Marilyn J. “Sue” Swaney (Adrian)
Marilyn J. “Sue” Swaney, 83 of Adrian, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Sugar Creek Rest.
She was born February 12, 1932 to John and Florence (Wolff) McAuley.
“Sue” was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian.
She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, baking and enjoying life.
“Sue” is survived by her two sons: Richard A. Swaney of Adrian and Donald R. Swaney and wife Carol Syzmanski of Adrian; two granddaughters: Sherry Johns (Swaney) and husband Barry and Rachel Swaney; greatgrandson, Kody Johns; two great granddaughters: Kayci and Karli Johns; and brother, Arnold J. McAuley (and wife Harvene) of Cowansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Swaney on October 6, 2013; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Wolfe) Swaney; great-grandson, Mathew Shawn Johns; and six brothers: Don, Dave, Jack, George and Ray McAuley and infant, Paul.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Thursday, August 13, 2015 - at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral HOme in Cowansville.
Additional visitation will be offered from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian.
The Rev. Robert French will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
