Lack of Quorum at Kittanning Borough Meeting

Only three of Kittanning Borough’s elected or appointed council members appeared for a special meeting at the Borough office last night, requiring it to be postponed.
The meeting was requested by Solicitor Ty Heller during last week’s regular meeting to pass an ordinance to allow an ordinance authorizing interim financing for Phase II and III of the Downtown Kittanning Revitalization Project.
“As we spend money throughout the rest of the year, we don’t want to put the Borough in a budget crunch,” Solicitor Heller said last week.
Only Councilwomen Betsy Wilt and Joie Pryde, along with Councilman Wilbur Stitt attended the session Monday – which has not yet been rescheduled.
