Tammy Elizabeth (Mohney) Long, 55, of Kittanning, was taken from her family on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Kittanning on May 14, 1960, a daughter of the Reverend Herman W. and Annabell Marie (Bish) Mohney.
She loved spending time with her family. She built her life around her grandchildren’s activities. She liked singing and karaoke as well as sitting around the fire.
She will be missed by her daughter: Tara Long; son: Todd Long; grandchildren: Alexis Presley, Olivia Presley, Lyric Barber, Tessa Long, and Thea Long - all of Kittanning; her five sisters: Gloria (Jay) Wynkoop of Cadogan, Norma Katherine Baum of Kittanning, Ida Ruth (Richard) Earl of Kittanning, Penny Marie (William) Crim of Apollo, Vicki Grantz of Kittanning; and Faith Ann (Dan) Davis of Kittanning; her two brothers: John Mohney of Kittanning and Timothy Allen (Gaye) Mohney of Kittanning; companion: Terry Slagle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Herman Theodore, Edison Lamont Mohney, and Nathan David Mohney; and her niece: Wendy Marie Schaub.
Friends were received Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning, where additional viewing will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 beginning at 11AM until the time of the funeral service at Noon. Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the funeral home at 253 North Grant Avenue, Kittanning 16201 to offset funeral expenses.
