Naked Man Allegedly Assaults Elderly East Brady Couple

A preliminary hearing is scheduled tomorrow for a McKean County man who is accused of assaulting a Bradys Bend Township couple last Saturday.
A 56-year-old McKean County man is accused of assaulting a Bradys Bend Township couple early Saturday morning, causing them both to be rushed to a Pittsburgh hospital.
At about 5AM Saturday, Paul Chilcott, 56 of Eldred, allegedly stood on the porch of an 80-year-old East Brady couple “acting very strange and sweating profusely.” Chilcott also told the victims that he wanted to kill his wife, who was unidentified in the police report completed Saturday evening.
The male victim calmed Chilcott down by talking to him for a short time and covering him with a blanket inside the residence, but later, Chilcott punched the man in the face several times, fracturing the man’s nose and causing facial fractures along with lacerations and abrasions.
Chilcott also allegedly struck the man’s wife when she came to assist her husband, causing several cranial bleeds and bruising to the face. The woman called 9-1-1 prior to helping her husband.
The man struck Chilcott in the back of the head with a vase to prevent further attacks.
Both East Brady residents were transported to a Pittsburgh hospital for advanced medical care. The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time.
Chilcott was arraigned before District Magisterial Judge Samuel Goldstrohm about 8:45AM Sunday morning. He was placed into psychiatric care after being arraigned twice each for first-degree felony aggravated assault, second-degree misdemeanor simple assault, second-degree misdemeanor reckless endangering another person, third-degree misdemeanor open lewdness and summary harassment.
Upon release, Chilcott was jailed in the Armstrong County Jail on $150,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 before District Magisterial Judge James Owen.
