Bike Rodeo Serves Hundreds at YMCA

Kittanning Elks Lodge #203 held its Annual Bicycle Rodeo on Saturday, June 13 at the Richard G. Snyder YMCA.
There were a total number of approximately 200 youth served - with 64 participating in the bicycle rodeo.
Kittanning Borough Police Chief Bruce Mathews served as the safety instructor. The Armstrong County Sheriff’s Department participated by providing fingerprinting, fitting and handing out over 100 bicycle helmets.
Finalizing the event was a drawing to give out 18 bicycles with helmets in different age categories ranging from 2-13.
Also utilized the Drug Awareness Trailor along with “Elroy the Elk,” Elks drew four names to win a basketball or soccer ball.
