OBIT: Mary Ann Russ (Ford City)
Mary Ann Russ, age 74, of Ford City, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at ACMH Hospital.
She was born on February 19, 1941, in Kittanning, the daughter of Dominic F. Angelo, Jr. and Steffie C. (Sobiski) Angelo.
Mary Ann was a member of the St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Kittanning. She had worked as a nurse’s aide for the former Kittanning Hospital where she enjoyed helping patients. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
She will be deeply missed by her son: Kenneth Edwards and wife Jenna of Kittanning; daughter: Stephanie Eckman and husband Jim of Ford City; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother: John A. Angelo and wife Barbara of Kittanning.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Norman J. Edwards who died in 1987; second husband: Charles E. Russ, Jr. who died in 2012; two brothers: Dominic and Frank Angelo; and a sister: Theresa Recupero.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning. A Blessing Service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the funeral home with Reverend Douglas E. Dorula as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Kittanning.
