OBIT: John Falsetti (Ford City)
John Falsetti, 84 of Ford City, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
He was born May 12, 1930 in Ford City to Louis and Rose (Fata) Falsetti.
A lifelong community resident, John was owner and operator of Falsetti’s Villa for the past 44 years. He was there seven days per week until he was 83.
John served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War, and was a member of Christ, Prince of Peace Parish.
He was a former member and president of the Latin American Club, and enjoyed working and spending time with his family.
John is survived by his son, Louis (and Sandy) Falsetti; daughter, Rosanne Falsetti Garito (and husband Michael); five grandchildren: Alexa Beining, Sophia Beining, and Anthony, Katie and Maria Falsetti; brother, Aldo Falsetti; and sister, Ida (and Mark) Falsetti.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Falsetti; and sister, Rose Marie Falsetti.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Thursday, May 14, 2015 - at the Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30AM Friday, May 15, 2015 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Christ, Prince of Peace Parish.
Father Bryan Summers will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
