OBIT: Leona G. Wolfe (Adrian)
Leona G. Wolfe, 98, of Adrian, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at ACMH Hospital.
She was born December 26, 1916 in Washington Township, the daughter of Jesse and Florence Mae (Croyle) Armahizer.
Leona was a lifetime resident of the area and loved caring for her family. She was a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church and belonged to the Tri State Country Music Association.
Leona enjoyed shopping, reading her bible and visiting with her friends at the Worthington Senior Center.
She is survived by her three grandchildren: Timothy Wolfe and wife, Ruthie, Douglas Wolfe and wife, Jackie, and Cheryl Battaglia and husband, Frank, all of Kittanning; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Dora Wolfe of Adrian; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin C. Wolfe, who died June 20, 1979; son, Edwin Wayne Wolfe; three sisters: Beulah Jeffers, Alvena Miller and Elizabeth Bowser; and longtime companion, Earl R. Gibson, who died November 7, 2006.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8PM today - Wednesday, April 29, 2015 - at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM tomorrow - Thursday, April 30, 2015.
The Rev. John W. Snyder will be officiating.
Interment will be in Limestone Church of God Cemetery in Adrian.
