OBIT: Joanne Marie (Mysliwiec) Haney (Kittanning)
Joanne Marie (Mysliwiec) Haney, 83, of Kittanning, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1932 in Kittanning to Joseph J. Mysliwiec and Mabel P. (Hawley).
Joanne lived the majority of her life in Ford City before moving to Kittanning. In her apartment at Balcony Towers, she could look at the location of her birth — her life had truly come full circle.
Of the Lutheran Faith, Joanne attended Emmanuel (Heilman) Lutheran Church.
A helpful friend to all, Joanne loved to read novels and watch her one soap opera.
She is survived by her two daughters: Bridget (and son-in-law, Chris) Leach, of Sydney, Australia and Kelly Haney of Centreville, Va.; grandson, Corey Leach, of Sydney, Australia; granddaughter, Tyler Marie Leach of Sydney, Australia; brother, Joseph Mysliwiec of Kittanning; niece and nephew, Andrea and Doug Smith of Ford City; four sisters-in-law: Carolyn Haney of Ford City, Marilyn (Joseph) Shaffer of Beaver Falls, Sally (Ray) Swank of Kittanning, and Bea Haney of Pittsburgh; brother-in-law, Wesley Stitt of Ford City; and multiple other nieces and nephews.
Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell W. Haney -who she married in June 1952, and they were married for 48 years before Wendell’s death; three sisters-in-law: Bernice Arble, Evelyn Luchesa and Edith Stitt; and three brothers-in-law: John “Bud” Haney, Bernard “Bump” Haney and Bill Haney.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Wednesday, April 29, 2015 - at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be from 10:30AM Thursday, April 30, 2015 until the time of the service at 11AM at the funeral home.
The Rev. Kevin Mackey will officiate.
