OBIT: Mark P. Kirkwood (Dayton, PA)

Mark Paul Kirkwood, 55, of Dayton, PA, died on April 21, 2015 at Hope Creek, NJ.

He was born in Kittanning on February 15, 1960, a son of the late Edward A. and Lois M. (Thompson) Kirkwood. He was a field technician for Master Lee for seven years.

He was a veteran who served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in New Bethlehem, Ford City Eagles, and a life member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his daughter: April Kirkwood and granddaughters Abigail Snyder and Marissa Snyder - all of Mayport; daughter: Kari Kirkwood of Dayton; three sisters: Sheila Slater of Ford City, Susan (Ralph) Spero of Shippensburg, and Lisa (Joe) Gamble of Estille Springs, TN; two brothers: Scott (Karen) Kirkwood of Manorville, and Todd Kirkwood of Ford City; the mother of his daughters: Melody Kirkwood of Ford City; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Jeff Kirkwood.

Friends will be receive from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, April 27, 2015 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Visitation continues on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral service will be private with Pastor Rodney Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Ford City Cemetery.
