OBIT: Lois Idella (Adams) Johnston (Worthington)

Lois Idella (Adams) Johnston, 76, of Worthington, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 23, 2015, at her residence.

She was born March 16, 1939 to Floyd Adams and Elva Pollard.

Lois lived in Adrian for 50 years and Worthington for the last three.

She formerly worked at Reed Neal’s Salon as an assistant and later retired as a CNA at Wesley Manor.

Lois was a member of Limestone-Reesedale Church of God, andenjoyed time with her family and great-grandchildren, playing cards, cooking and baking, watching soap operas, talking on the phone, the outdoors and getting her hair done.

Lois is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl (Mark) Montgomery of Adrian and Joni Wolfe (Jon Sacik) of Worthington; two grandsons: Christopher Montgomery of Butler, and Joshua Yockey of Adrian; granddaughter, Lara (Yockey) Johns and husband, Justin, of Adrian; three great-granddaughters: Haylie Montgomery of Erie, Kacha Montgomery of Kittanning, and Grace Janas; great-grandson, Jaxon Johns of Adrian; three sisters: Janice Reesman of Kittanning, Janet Jaggers of Florida, and Alice Kammerdeiner of Kittanning; stepdaughter, Khristine Johnston; close friend, Tammy Bowser Montgomery; and multiple nieces, nephews and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Larry “Bear” Montgomery; husband, Joseph Denton “Denny” Johnston; brother, Robert Adams; and sister, Leona Hepler.

Per Lois’ wishes, funeral services will be private and are being entrusted to Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
