OBIT: Alice I. Waugaman (Kittanning)

Alice I. Waugaman, 75, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Sugar Creek Rest.

She was born October 3, 1939, in Kittanning to William and Kathryn (Schreckengost) Waugaman.

Alice formerly worked at Mid Penn Telephone and Farmer’s National Bank in Kittanning and then retired from the American Red Cross.

She was a lifelong member of Mt. Union Bible Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher, member of the Mission team and helped with Vacation Bible School for many years.

Alice loved to write poetry and had two of her poems published.

Alice is survived by her brother-in-law, Hugh H. Adams; nephew, Hugh W. Adams (and wife, Jackie); two great-nephews: Nathan Adams (and wife Tabbatha) and Matthew Adams (and wife Erica); one great-great-nephew, Eli Adams; and one great-great-niece, Olivia Adams.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nellie Adams; and an infant brother.

Friends will be received from 6-9PM tomorrow - Friday, April 17, 2015 - at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Additional viewing will be offered from 1PM until the time of services at 2PM Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Mt. Union Bible Church.

The Rev. Geoff Reppard will be officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Creek Methodist Cemetery.
