OBIT: Iola Maude Anker (Dallas, Pa.)
Iola Maude Anker, 85 of Dallas, Pa., passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Arden Courts in Allentown, Pa.
She was a district manager for Avon in Luzerne County from 1962 through 1980.
During her retirement, Iola was an avid bridge player, a president of Parents without Partners and an enthusiastic member of a gourmet club. She was also an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, baking thousands of cookies for fundraising events.
Iola is survived by three siblings: Carl Roofner, Edward (Buster) Roofner and Janet Keener; and four children: Carol Mack, Marla Sherman, Alan Cloak and stepson William Anker.
Iola was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Ellen (Ella) Roofner; husbands, Clifton Paul Cloak and Harry Anker; and four siblings: Robert Roofner, Vera Roofner, Alice Dezort and Emma Smith.
Calling hours will be from 11AM until the time of funeral services at 2PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington.
The Rev. Paul Roofner will officiate.
Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
