OBIT: David M. “DJ Crazy Dave” Hozier (Applewold)

David M. Hozier, affectionately known by his friends as “DJ Crazy Dave”, 42, of Applewold, died Saturday, April 4, 2015, as a result of injuries sustained in a fire at his home.

He was born May 5, 1972, in Pittsburgh to David J. and Joan Hozier.

He was a DJ at the Oakwood, Atta Boyz, Hot Spot and Purples.

David enjoyed playing pool and throwing darts.

David is survived by his mother; wife, Amanda Hartzell; four sons: David M. Hozier Jr., Troy Hozier, Dean Hartzell and Skylar Hartzell; daughter, Macee Hartzell; and two brothers: Michael and Stephen Hozier.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM tomorrow - Wednesday, April 8, 2015 - at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the funeral home, with the Evangelist Larry Krause officiating.

Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery.
