OBIT: Betty M. McDivitt (Prospect)
Betty M. (Knepshield) McDivitt, 88, of Prospect, passed away April 4, 2015 in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born March 13, 1927, in Slickville, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Bertha (Fought) Knepshield.
Betty was a homemaker, and was a very active and involved member of the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Edwin L. Belles, Jr. (Judith), of Zeleinople; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Twila Clever of Vandergrift.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McDivitt; a son, Larry Belles; brothers, Dwight, Dean, Covert, and Charles Knepshield; and two sisters, Doris Waugaman and Donna Shirley.
Friends will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015 with the Reverend James Linn officiating. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
