OBIT: Colleen L. Bowser (Cowansville)

Colleen Lee (Smith) Bowser, 59, of Cowansville, died on Friday, March 27, 2015 on ACMH Hospital.

She was born on October 27, 1955 in Kittanning, the daughter of Clifford and Helen (Shreckengost) Smith. She was a cook and homemaker.

She was a member of the Sherrett United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren; sitting on the porch and watching the butterflies, going gambling, spending time on her Kindle. Her grandchildren were her world. She spent hours with them laughing and carrying on, as she did with her children.

She is survived by her children: Tara (Joe) Cornman of Rimersburg, Tonia Bowser (Denny Hooks) of Adrian, and Glenn C. Bowser, Jr. (Brittany Gauker) of Cowansville; special nephew: Benjamin Bowser; grandchildren: Joseph Glenn Bowser, Jayden Nicholas Bowser, Sydney Jolene Bowser, and Brandon Thomas Bowser; siblings: Jane (Jim) Bowser, Carol Hooks, and Joe Smith; her twin: Christine (Tony) Judge, Brenda Wolfe, and Tracy Johns;

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Glenn C. “Prune” Bowser, Sr., who she married on April 6, 1974 and died on October 4, 2004.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville, with additional viewing from 10AM until time of services at 11AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the funeral home. The Reverend Debbie Marshall will officiate. Interment will be in Sherrett Cemetery.
