OBIT: Frances (Kania) Peresie (Kittanning)
Frances (Kania) Peresie, 88, of Kittanning, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born January 17, 1927, in Ford City to Andrew and Aniela (Urbanik) Kania.
Frances retired from Carlisle Hospital as an ER registrar. She previously worked for PPG in Ford City and Crestline, Ohio.
She was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning.
Frances is survived by her sister, Leona Latini, of Kittanning; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers: Walter, Edward, Michael and John Kania; and sister, Jennie Recny.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning.
The Rev. Douglas E. Dorula will act as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Frances Cemetery.
