OBIT: Ruth V. Hayes (Smicksburg)
Ruth Valjean Hayes, 78, of Smicksburg, passed away on March 21, 2015 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 9, 1936 to John and Genevieve (Weaver) Jewell in Rural Valley. Ruth worked as a Laborer for Season-all Industries. After retiring she enjoyed going to yard sales.
Ruth is survived by her three daughters: Shirley (Dan) Coover and Patty (Dan) Smith, both of Dayton, and Kathy Tangren of Aultman; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy VanDyke of Kittanning and Betty Reefer of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Paul and Roy Jewell; and a sister: Fay Seibert.
Private Services will take place.
Burial will be in Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery.
