OBIT: I Margaret Bryan (Ford Cliff)
I. Margaret Bryan, 93, of Ford Cliff, died Thursday, March 19, 2015, in ACMH Hospital.
Born May 15, 1921, in Ford City, she was a daughter of the late Henry Walter and Elsa Blanche (Febinger) Stockdill.
She was a 1938 graduate of Ford City High School.
Mrs. Bryan a life member of Ford Memorial United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, and belonged to the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed traveling with her son and daughter in law, Mark and Shirley, and her daughter, Mary Alice. She loved collecting seashells, going out for dinner, feeding birds, watching hummingbirds, reading, and keeping up with world events.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary Alice Bryan of Cowansville; her son: Mark (Shirley) Bryan of McGrann; her grandchildren: Dean Bryan, Chris Hancock, Amy Hughes, and Sally Jayne Shultz; her great-grandchildren: Steven
and Carmen Bryan, Kainin Hancock, Jordan Hughes, Christian Hughes, Jacob Hughes, Dalilah Hancock, Kierra Hancock, Alaina Hancock, William Beil, Matthew Beil, Theresa Mannion, Kelly Hooper, and Liam Bugelhohl; and her
great-great-grandchildren: William, Sophia and Gracie Beil, and Maggie Mannion and one son in law Merle McKelvey of Ford Cliff.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Wilbur R. Bryan, Jr., who died December 21, 1962; one daughter: Sally Ann McKelvey, three grandchildren: Steven Bryan, Bryan McKelvey, and Margaret McKelvey; a
brother: Earl Stockdill, Alice Havens, and Olive Stingle.
At Mrs. Bryan’s request, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Welch Funeral home in Ford City.
