OBIT: Delmar L. Toy (Kittanning)
Delmar L. Toy, 78, of Kittanning, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at ACMH Hospital.
He was born on June 11, 1936 in Worthington area, a son of Homer C. and Lillie (Toy) Toy.
Delmar enjoyed farming. He formerly worked at Pullman Standard in Butler and also was a painting contractor and maintenance worker at Biblical Life Institute. He was a lifetime member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren and a member of the Builder’s Association.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and mowing the grass.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Charlotte (White) Toy; son: Wayne Mauthe and wife Kendra of DuBois; sister: Shirley McKee and husband Dean of Kittanning; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother: Donald C. Toy; and infant brother: Jackie Toy; and an infant sister.
Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015 and also 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of the funeral service at 11AM Wednesday, March 26, 2015, at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren with the Reverend Wes Berkebile officiating. Interment will be in the Center Hill Church Cemetery.
