OBIT: Martha Ondich (Rural Valley)
Martha Ondich, 86, of Rural Valley, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on May 25, 1928 to George and Mary (Hospodar) Metro in Sagamore.
Martha was a Proud Homemaker and Caregiver.
She was an excellent cook and made everything with great pride.
Martha was a member of St. Mary, Mother of God R.C. Catholic Church in Yatesboro and the former St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church in Sagamore.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Martha (and fiancé - Robert Reesman) Hadden; son, Christopher (Lauren) Ondich of Gibsonia, Pa.; two brothers: Paul Metro of Apollo and Stephen Metro of Sagamore; and three grandchildren: Brandy Sue Hadden, Jaden Reesman and Marley Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by husband, George “Jerry” Ondich, who died May 24, 1991; her parents; four brothers: Michael, infant George, John and George Metro; and three sisters: Mary Metro, Anna Rosenthal and Margaret Honkus.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9PM today - Friday, March 13, 2015 - at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM tomorrow - Saturday, March 14, 2015 - at the St. Mary, Mother of God R.C. Church – Yatesboro, with Fr. Douglas Dorula, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery in Sagamore.
Donations in Memory of Martha may be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.
