OBIT: Mary Ann Reale (Ford City)

Mary Ann Reale, 82, of Ford City, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Armstrong County Health Center.

She was born March 11, 1932, in Cadogan, daughter of Silvio Frieri and Leopolda Zambotti Frieri.

She was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Cadogan. She was an organist at Guardian Angel Church starting in August of 1941 and continued playing at St. Lawrence until July of 2007 after 66 years.

Mary enjoyed crossroad puzzles and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She loved the Steelers, Penguins and the Pirates and spending time with her family. She enjoyed her grand-dogs and grand-cat.

She is survived by her son, John and Merceda Reale, of Elizabethtown; four daughters: Gloria and Robert Thompson, of Ford City, Patty and Greg Ivie, of Burke, Virginia., Susan and Dulany Washington, of Midland, Virginia, and Rosalee and Bruce Downer, of Ford City; three grandchildren: Tate Ivie, John Washington and Amanda Reale; brother, David and Wanda Frieri, of Rural Valley; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of John Reale, who died February 8, 1991.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Silvio Frieri; and three sisters: Lillian Russick, Rachel Cook and Emma Oresick.

Friends will be received from 7-9PM tomorrow - Thursday, March 12, 2015 - and from 2-4 and 7-9PM Friday, March 13, 2015 - at the Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.

Prayer service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Saturday in St. Lawrence Church, Cadogan, with Father Alan Grote, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Francis of Paola.
