OBIT: Edward P. Sanoba (Maple Heights, Ohio)

Edward P. Sanoba, 91 of Maple Heights, Ohio - formerly of Ford City - died Monday, January 26, 2015 in Villa St. Josephs in Garfield Heights, Ohio.

He was born June 29, 1923 in Ford City to Michael and Mary Augustine Sanoba.

Edward was a drill press operator and inspector for Cleveland Pneumatics Tool, Co.

He served the the U.S. Army 20th Armored Tank Division, and was a member of St. Monica Church in Garfield Heights,Ohio, the Ford City VFW and the Holy Name Society at St. Monica and Jednota.

Edward enjoyed eating out, Pittsburgh and Cleveland sports, was a baseball and hockey fan and enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Maddie, play, as well as traveling with his family.

Edward is survived by his son, Michael (and Marie) Sanoba of Maple Heights, Ohio; daughter, Kathleen Sanoba of Garfield Heights, Ohio; granddaughter, Maddie; and beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Agnes Bator, Pauline Elger and Clara Tremont.

Friends will be received from 9AM until the funeral service at 10:30AM Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Mantini Funeral Home in Ford City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Christ, Prince of Peace Parish in Ford City, with the Father Bryan Summers officiating.

Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
