OBIT: John G. Clark (West Kittanning)
John Gordon Clark, 75, of West Kittanning, died peacefully at home on Sunday, January 11, 2014.
He was born on November 25, 1939 in Wattersonville, a son of Gordon & Margaret Clark.
Mr. Clark was a retired steelworker. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a 45-year member of the West Kittanning Fire Department. He was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and going to his camp along the river.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Alice (McIlwain) Clark; daughters: Kim Clark and Kelly Clark; grandchildren: Zachary Revay and Kevin Barnes; brothers: James (Nancy) Clark and Dennis (Wanda) Clark; sisters: Elizabeth Stanford, Eva Smith, Alma Getz, Peg Bouch, June (John) Forringer, Dian (Larry) Wolfe; sisters-in-law: Virginia Clark, Mary Clark, and Jeanette Clark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Clair Clark, Glen Clark, Loyal Clark, Don Clark, and Wayne Clark; and sister: Verdean Shearer.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, and from 10AM until the time of a funeral service at 11AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Cornerstone Assembly of God. The Reverend Michael Bobbitt will officiate.
