OBIT: Frances Bernajean Prugh (Rural Valley)

Frances Bernajean Prugh, 88, of Rural Valley, passed away on December 6, 2014 at Margaret Manor.

She was born on February 3, 1926 to Joseph and Marie (Peart) Cooper in Elderton. She was a member of NuValley Presbyterian Church and the Rural Valley Senior Center.

Frances is survived by her three sons: Johnnie Prugh and his wife Karen of Rural Valley, Walter Prugh and his wife Sheryl of Shelocta, and Bruce Prugh and his friend Miguel of Ridgefield Park, NJ; two daughters: Joan Consler and her husband Pete of Kent, NY and Paula Kessler and her husband James of Indiana, PA; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Roy W. Prugh who died March 6, 1995; a brother: Ellwood Cooper; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 8, 2014, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 11AM at the Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Shannon officiating. Burial will take place in the Atwood Cemetery.
