Man Sells Fake Cemetery Plots in Rayburn Township

Two local Kittanning persons became victims of a scam that involved the purchase of fake cemetery plots.

The victims reported that in 2011, they had purchased Kittanning Cemetery pre-arrangements from a 46-year-old white male on “deals the Cemetery was offering at the time.” The victims were told to pay the suspect in cash and the price was cheaper. The suspect wrote a receipt and gave it to the victims. When the victims never received a deed or official receipts from the Cemetery and contacted the Cemetery, they were told they had no record of the purchase.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Geibel said he is concerned there are potentially more victims in the area that had made cash payments from the suspect. If anyone believes they could be a victim of this scam, please call the Kittanning barracks at 724-543-2011.

This guy is a scumbag. He didn’t pay his workers and he would threaten anyone that was at the cementary. Truth is he used to get beat up in high school.
