OBIT: Eleanor M. Dill (Kittanning)

Eleanor M. Dill, 70, of Kittanning, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh surrounded by family and friends.

Born on August 3, 1944 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Walker.

Eleanor retired from the Armstrong School District after working as a cafeteria manager for 35 years, spending the majority of her tenure at the Kittanning Area Middle School. Throughout her life, she was an avid reader, spent much of her time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and her precious dog Presley, whom she loved very much. She also attended many shows by her favorite Elvis Tribute Artist Mike Albert with close friends.

She is survived by her son: John Dill of Kittanning; daughter: Lisa (Rick) McMillen of Worthington; grandson: Tyler John of Worthington; granddaughter: Jerra (Chris) Lobozzo of Pittsburgh; step-granddaughter: Brenna McMillen of Worthington; sister-in-law: Martha Denardo; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband of 32 years: James W. Dill, Sr. who passed away on February 12, 1996; one son: James W. Dill, Jr., who died on September 12, 1985; one brother: Robert McIntyre; two sisters: Annabelle McCormack and Dorothy Szalankiewicz; and one niece: Sonya Fredrick.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Tuesday, November 18, 2014 beginning at 10AM until the time of a funeral service at 11AM at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning. The Reverend David Blevins will officiate. Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery.
