OBIT: Mary E. Bowser-Koladish (West Kittanning)

Mary Ellen (White) Bowser-Koladish, 87, of West Kittanning died on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA.

She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on August 12, 1927, a daughter of Fred J. and Edith (Connor) White. She worked at the Mushroom Mines, ACMH, and also was a caregiver for some ladies in West Kittanning.

Mary loved to bake and cook, especially for her neighbors.

She is survived by her loving husband: Frank P. Koladish whom she married on January 14, 1973; sister: Marie (White) Stuchell of Cowansville ; daughters: Karen (Ted) Edwards from Fenelton, Kathy (Duane) Roofner of Worthington; five grandchildren: Sherry (Dandy) Gadley of North Apollo, Amy (Bill) Broman of Butler, Wendy (Kriss) Simmons of Butler, Kristin (Mark) Ort of Butler, and Marion (Chris) Seavers of Worthington; ten great-grandchildren: Jake Broman, Jack Ort, Jonathan Seavers, Jesse Or, Dylan Gadley, Emma Broman, Olivia Ort, Brandon Gadley, Kallie Simmons, Alyssa Simmons; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Thomas A. Bowser on May 28, 1966; son: Thomas A. Bowser Jr. in December 1970; brothers: William H. “Hud”, Warren & Paul White; sisters: Lucille Wolfe, Myrtle Stuchell Jordan, Virginia Costanzo; nephew: Fred White; niece: Dorthy “Dot” Croyle.

Friends will be received from 6-9 PM on Monday, November 10, 2014 and 11AM until the time of a funeral service at 1PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. The Reverend Rodney Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the Kittanning Cemetery.
