OBIT: Catherine B. (Cornelius) Buriak (Cabot)

Catherine B. (Cornelius) Buriak, 86 of Cabot, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Concordia.

She was born June 15, 1927 in Snyder Township, Blair County, to Hayden and Bertha (Fagley) Cornelius.

Catherine was of the Protestant faith, and also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Port Charlotte, Fla.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (husband Rod) Morris of West Kittanning; two sons: Irwin (wife Shiela) Kaufman of DuBois and Perry Kaufman of Sherrett; three grandsons: Ben (wife Angie) Morris of Kittanning, and Justin and Joshua Kaufman of Dubois; brother, Hayden (wife Josephine) Cornelius; and nephew, William Cornelius.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Buriak, who she lived many happy years with in Port Charlotte, Fla.; four brothers; and four sisters.

Friends will be received from 2PM until the time of funeral services at 4PM tomorrow – Wednesday, April 16, 2014 – at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.

The Rev. Jim Edwards will be officiating.

Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
