Motorcyclist Injured in Dayton Collision
One man was injured and flown to a regional hospital last night after a motorcycle accident in Dayton Borough.
According to Armstrong 9-1-1 dispatch and live radio transmission, the incident happened about 5:30PM near 505 German Road – which is also referred in some portions as State Route 839 when the unidentified male hit a deer.
EMS dispatchers alerted Dayton Distant and Hawthorn (Clarion County) firefighters that the male was experiencing pain on his right side, including to his arm, hand, back and leg. Upon their arrival, the motorcyclist was conscious and alert.
STAT MedEvac flew the man to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh within a half-hour of the collision. His medical condition was not available last night.
One lane of Route 839 was blocked off by emergency personnel during their 45-minute response.
