Lane Closure in Place on Route 28 South for Bridge Work

A lane closure is in place in on Route 28 South in North Buffalo Township between Freeport Road and McHaddon Road for a bridge preservation project.

This lane closure is expected to be lifted in early-October.

Work includes replacing dams and installing an epoxy treatment on the bridge deck.

PennDOT reminds motorists to be alert to changing conditions and to pay attention to flaggers in the work zone. Remember fines are doubled; drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.

This $1.8 million bridge preservation project includes various bridges and is being constructed by Thornbury, Inc., of West Sunbury.
