OBIT: Lulu Mabel (Rickel) Harmon (Adrian)

Lulu Mabel (Rickel) Harmon, 97 of Adrian, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at her home.

She was born October 19, 1915 in Kittanning to George and Jennie (Bower) Rickel.

Lulu lived in the Adrian area for 75 years, and was a member of the Montgomeryville Baptist Church in Adrian.

She enjoyed animals, doing handiwork and attending flea markets.

Lulu was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her four daughters: Flora Jean Harmon of Templeton, Dixie (Robert) Toy of Kittanning, Isabelle (Gerald) Painter of Templeton and Linda Venesky of Cowansville; son, Raymond (Nancy) Harmon of Adrian; daughter-in-law, Delphine Harmon of Kittaning; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Lulu was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Patrick Harmon; son, James Calvin Harmon; brother, Martin Rickel; two sisters, Elizabeth Rickel and Flora Lytle; and two granddaughters: Holly Goldstrohm and Cindy Gibson.

A private funeral service will be held at Montgomeryville Baptist Church in Adrian, with the Rev. John Snyder and Pastor Paul DeBacco co-officiating.

Funeral arrangements are being taken care of through Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville.
