OBIT: Beatrice Marie (Snyder/Minich) Gray (Plumville)

Beatrice Marie (Snyder/Minich) Gray, 94, of Plumville, formerly of Porter Township, Pa., went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 16, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 29, 1917, in Erie, Pa., the eldest daughter of John Wesley and Emma Virginia (Gray) Snyder.

Beatrice was a devoted Christian who over her lifetime was active in a number of churches and organizations. In recent years these included the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Sagamore, Pa., God’s Missionary Church of Millmont, Pa., Colton Wesleyan Church of Colton, NY and Penn View Bible Institute of Penns Creek, Pa.

In her free time, “Bea” enjoyed craftwork and crocheting and especially liked working on baby quilts. Her life was dedicated to her family and they will always remember the love she had for them.

Beatrice is survived by her two daughters: Fern (Steve) Wilson of Jefferson City, Tenn. and Anita (Gary) McIntire of Plumville; step-son, Jack (Sue) Gray of Lisbon, NY; and two step-daughters: Linda (Paul) Brouilette of Ogdensburg, NY and Kim (Joe) Trivilino of Canton, NY. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and brother, John Snyder, of Conneaut, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Carl E. Minich, who passed away July 7, 1978; second husband, H. William Gray, who passed away January 15, 1998; son, Lee D. Minich; brother, Paul Snyder; two sisters: Jean and Ellen McIntyre; and an infant son and infant daughter.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home in Dayton.

Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church, 2089 Third Street, Sagamore, Pa., with the Rev. Ray McCrary officiating and the Rev. Joseph Smith and Rev. Arlan Kratz participating.

Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery in Porter Township.
