OBIT: Wendy A. Matthews (Ford City)

Wendy A. Matthews, 36, of Ford City, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, in her home.
She was born on July 28, 1974 in El Paso, Texas, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in East Franklin Township.

Wendy loved cats, and collected James Patterson books. More than anything, she will be remembered for her smile and giggle.

She is survived by her mother, Sally (Young) Matthews of Bethel Township; a sister, Azure D. Brissell of Ford City; two step-sisters, Cindy Jordan of Michigan and Donna O’Neil of Kittanning; a nephew, Dylan Shaw of Ford City; and her good friend, Matt Learner of Ford City.

Wendy was preceded in death by her father, George Karl Matthews.

At Wendy’s request, all services were handled privately through Welch’s Funeral Home in Ford City.
