Rizzo: Freeport Volleyball Tonight

by Michael Rizzo

Tonight on RSW, I’ll be interviewing the Freeport Girls Volleyball team. I’m really looking forward to seeing how season goes for these local volleyball teams. Every local team should be competitive. Freeport will probably be one of the top teams in Double-A again but they should have competition. West Shamokin who is moving up to Double-AA will be a great opponent. Kittanning & Ford City should also have great squads as well. It might be the best Kittanning team in a decade. It will surely be the one the best sections to watch in any sport. The show starts tonight at 7:30 PM and remember everyone in the Freeport area should be able to listen the show live on WTYM 1380am radio at 7:30. If you have a question for the show please email mrizzo@familylifetv.com Thanks!

Rizzo, I am a bit out of the loop….why is wshs moving up? They lost a bunch of kids school wide because of ehs. Good luck khs and wshs girls!!

West Shamokin is moving up, because when they took enrollment numbers (last year) their female enrollment pushed them to “AA” Volleyball. Ironically West Shamokin’s current enrollment will probably put them in “A”. But they’re stuck in “AA” for at least two years.

Ah yes, more screwing of wshs by our wonderful leaders! And i suppose ehs will be in the easier section because they are so small. Did you notice who was hired as girls bball coach at ehs last night? Interesting, and wshs doesnt have a coach because no one cared to put it on the agenda last night so the wshs girls had no practice all summer and still no one to lead them now. Ain’t life grand!

Isn’t this the same situation Kittanning football is in this year? Stuck in AAA for two years because of last year’s attendance lines. Isn’t it ironic that some of the kids who wanted to transfer (or rather, just stay) at Kittanning were denied playing sports for this year?
